Forex Regulation FSC Regulated Forex Broker

Gallant Capital Markets is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Commission (“FSC”), (License Number: SIBA/L/11/0964) in the British Virgin Islands (“BVI”). The FSC is the lone supervisory and regulatory authority for Investment Services in the territory.

The BVI is a United Kingdom Overseas Territory with a legal system based on English common law. Politically stable, the islands have successfully established a thriving international business industry, which ranks amongst the top offshore jurisdictions globally. The BVI has become the only offshore financial centre to have its rating boosted in the latest Global Financial Centres Index (“GFCI”). The ninth edition of the GFCI (GFCI 9) revealed that the BVI has improved its GFCI rating by two points, moving past Brussels in the rankings outright, having previously shared the spot with Brussels.

Under SIBA regulation, the FSC augments the BVI’s regulatory regime to ensure it complies with international best practice and implements standards laid down by the International Monetary Fund (“IMF”) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (“IOSCO”).

In fact, an International Monetary Fund (“IMF”) report published in October 2010 indicated that the recent global financial crisis has not affected the health of BVI financial institutions. The report further acknowledged the BVI FSC and their cooperation as a full partner in international information sharing alongside the strength and independence of the BVI’s regulatory regime.

Gallant abides by and complies with all regulations set forth by the FSC under SIBA with particular focus on increased efficiency, transparency, and greater consumer protection.
